  The Dog Days of Summer!  Greetings, Richland Denizens, As we bid farewell to July and welcome the dog days of August, we've got a smorgasbord of updates, events, and a dash of creole humor to keep you entertained and informed. It's hotter than a cayenne peppers armpit out there, so we'll keep it brief. Buckle up, grab a cold one, and let's dive in! First off, a hearty welcome to all our new neighbors! We hope you're settling in well and finding Richland to be the friendly and vibrant community we all love. Remember, in this heat, it's important to stay cool - and that goes double for our new lycan neighbors! We can't imagine it's easy keeping cool with all that fur.     Special Edition: Lake Sedimentation Urgent Update on Lake Sedimentation Issue and Call to Action As many of you are aware, the Richland HOA Board has been actively working to address the significant sedimentation issue affecting Lake Richland (aka Laurel Lake or Richlake, depending upon who is speaking) as well as the other bodies of water within our community. This is a critical issue that impacts not only the beauty and health of our environment but also your property values and potentially our HOA finances. We have been engaging with Gwinnett County to address this problem, as we believe the county bears significant responsibility due to past actions that have contributed to the sedimentation of our lakes. Despite our numerous attempts to engage with the county, our efforts have not yet resulted in any substantial action to remediate the sediment in the lake.  This is the last communication we received from Gwinnett County:  While we are still reviewing the le...

 Richland Independence Day!  Hello, Richland ! As we bask in the warmth of summer, let’s not forget the significance of July 4th. Independence Day is just around the corner, and we have a spectacular celebration planned. Join us at the pool for grilled hot dogs by day and fireworks by night.  We'll have music, hotdogs and chips.  As we did last year, this is a BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage) event.  We'll also have Shaved and Italian Ice trucks in parking lot.  Don't forget to bring down your lawn chairs or picnic blankets and set up along Taylor Road or in front of the clubhouse for our 3rd Annual Fireworks Show Over the Lake.   Wearing Red White and Blue is encouraged, but not Required!  Fireworks will start shortly after dark.  Button Gwinnett: A Local Hero Did you know that Gwinnett County is named after Button Gwinnett, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence? A Richland Summer! Hello Richland!  Hello, Richland neighbors! We hope you've been enjoying the pool since its official opening on May 6th. If you've been holding back, fearing the icy touch of the water, fear no more! Our new pool heaters, as powerful as a classic sports car engine, are keeping the water at a balmy 80 degrees. It's so warm, you might start to wonder if we've tapped into a hidden hot spring! And if you're still hesitant to venture out, June 3rd is the perfect day to make your way to the clubhouse because we're throwing the biggest pool opening party of 2023. You'll feel like you're partying with Kenny and Vanessa in Vegas, minus the neon lights and slot machines! But don't worry, what happens at the Richland pool party, stays at the Richland pool party.
