Stay up to date with all the happenings in the Richland Community.  Download the NABR Network App for your phone, or check it out on the website.  Once you set up your account, you set your preferences to receive communications through text message alerts or opt to receive the same information via email or you can just regularly check the community feed for updates. Additionally, you are able to pay dues, reserve the clubhouse and submit ACC requests all virtually.
       


Mark Your Calendars: The Annual Summer Luau Pool Party is Scheduled for June 4th!

The weather is getting hotter, and the pool is getting warmer!  Come on down to the pool on June 4th from Noon-4pm as the HOA Board and Social Committee hosts our Annual Summer Pool Party.  We'll have a DJ playing the latest (and not so latest) summer tunes while the HOA Board and Social Committee will grill and serve hamburgers and hot dogs (while supplies last). We will also provide chips and drinks (water, kids' drinks and sodas).  If you bring your own adult beverages - please remember to drink responsibly and no glass bottles on the pool deck!

Food Truck Fridays!


We have food trucks scheduled for most Fridays this summer. So plan to take a break from cooking and support these local businesses.  The tentative dates are below.  Please note, these may be subject to change.   If you have suggestions for food trucks to invite, please email social@richlander.com with ideas!



Summer Swim Team Meet Schedule

You may have noticed the neighborhood swim team has started practicing - we are excited to get our swim season started.  THERE IS STILL TIME TO SIGN YOUR KIDS UP BEFORE OUR FIRST MEET on June 2nd! This year, we will only have 2 home swim meets in June (6/2 and 6/23) - this means large crowds and lots of kids enjoying the sport of competitive swim at our pool! The large pool (lap pool) will close at 4pm on these days, but the mushroom pool will remain open usual hours.  For convenient access, we will open the mushroom pool gate near the tennis courts so residents can avoid the swim team crowds, if desired.  Thank you Richland for supporting our neighborhood kids and the Richland Waves Swim Team!

RICHLAND SHARING LIBRARY


Just a reminder – we have small community library at the clubhouse. Feel free to pick up or drop off a book (no magazines please - they don't hold up in the outdoor humidity). If you do want to donate a book for others to enjoy, please place them on the shelves. The library is located on the pool side of the clubhouse. There is a wide variety including romance, self help, historical fiction and science fiction.




Many of you know that we opened phase one of the walking trails last fall.   We will be doing trail maintenance in the next few weeks (as soon as it dries up). The trail is accessible behind the lower tennis courts on Quinton Rd.  Just follow the concrete sidewalk until you get to the gravel trail.   As a reminder to residents along Hunt River Way,  Phase 2 of the trail will begin in the next few weeks.  This portion of the trail will follow the creek on other side of the current trail.

      



The Richland HOA Social Committee is always looking for folks to help out at events!

If you enjoy planning fun and creative events while meeting your neighbors along the way, consider joining us. Our monthly meetings are at 7pm the last Thursday in each month at the Richland Clubhouse. If you are interested in joining please, email us at: Social@richlander.com

   The Pool Is Open…Probably Warm…Possibly Blessed 🏊‍♂️🧛‍♂️🌞 Hello Richland!  Ah, almost June. You know what that means.   The school year comes skidding to a halt, backpacks are launched into closets like they owe someone money, lunchboxes are discovered in conditions best described as “federal investigation pending,” and children everywhere begin their annual transformation from students into full-time snack goblins. The buses are gone. The homework folders have vanished. The alarm clocks have been silenced. Across Richland, parents are bravely entering summer armed with sunscreen, "mommy cups", pool towels, and the haunted knowledge that someone will ask for a snack approximately every seven minutes until August. And of course, the ancient summer question has returned: “Can we go to the pool?” Yes, Richland. The pool is open! 🏊‍♀️  It has been since mid-April! Well, open and mostly usable. Definitely usable. Season's Greetings, Richland!  “The Great Inflatable War of 2024" As we head into another holiday season, it’s a good time to remind everyone to properly anchor their inflatables so we don’t repeat last year’s fiasco. For our new neighbors, as you begin dragging extension cords across your yards before your spouses notice, we'll recount one of the most infamous episodes in our neighborhood’s recent history. That’s right, I’m talking about the “Great Inflatable War of 2024”—a conflict waged bravely, boldly, and somewhat unwisely by two residents whose identities we shall protect… so for the sake of the story, let’s just call them Ricky and Kermit.   Ricky, as usual, put out his 6-foot inflatable Santa. Nothing flashy. Just Santa, standing there in all his glory.  Kermit, never one to decorate, for some odd reason, responded with an 8-foot Frosty, cheerful, LED-enhanced, and clearly meant to send a message.
