Sept/Oct Newsletter

πŸŽƒ The Most Wonderful Time of the Year! September/October 2025 Edition It’s that magical time of year again, Richland… the leaves are turning, the skeletons are migrating from garage bins to front porches, and the HOA inbox is filling up with ARC requests for 12-foot clowns and animatronic zombie babies. Husbands are arguing with the budget committee for a seasonal increase (something about tariffs and fog machines), and one neighbor keeps asking to put a mourning shroud on the clubhouse. (You know who you are.) But before we carve pumpkins or summon fog, we must speak of something truly terrifying... The Annual HOA Meeting. Yes, it's happening. And yes, it's required by the bylaws. So dust off your cloaks and your voting rights, because the veil between the living and the board is thinning. You don’t think the Annual Meeting is important? Well, let me tell you a story about Old Mrs. Juno . She thought the same thing... Many years ago—sometime in the late 1900s whe...

June 2025

Welcome to the June 2025 Newsletter! Ah, June in Richland—when the grills fire up, the pool floats inflate, and the HOA inbox heats up faster than the pavement on Taylor Road. It’s summer, folks. Time to embrace the sunshine, slap on some SPF 50, and gather round for our most anticipated event of the season: the June 7th Pool Party and BBQ . But before we cannonball into the fun, a quick detour down memory lane… or should we say, Operation: Duck Drop 2010. Now, this tale is still disputed by the older residents—some call it a legend, others a cover-up. But those who were there know the truth. It started, as many Richland stories do, with a completely unnecessary HOA Board Meeting followed by Amazon shopping while impaired. Someone (we’ll call him “JB,” because his name was JB) decided the pool party needed more “atmosphere” —and what better way to liven up our “ho-hum” parties than a surprise mid-party drop of rubber duckies ? “The kids are going to love it!” JB swears he clicke...

March/April 2025 News Letter

As we step into spring, it seems the universe decided to put on a celestial spectacle just for us. The recent Blood Moon and lunar eclipse painted the night sky in eerie reds, leaving some of us in awe—and others checking for werewolf sightings. If that wasn’t enough, last night’s severe weather had us bracing for impact, but miraculously, we seem to have escaped with only a few scattered branches and some very confused neighborhood geese.  But let’s not get too comfortable—April is upon us, and with it comes the trickiest day of the year: April 1st! Yes, neighbors, April Fool’s Day is back, and history has taught us to stay on guard. Who can forget the great “lost dog” saga of 2019 (when someone put up posters for an invisible dog named "Sir Barks-a-Lot" or the  “HOA Mandated Yard Flamingo” email of 2016 ?  No flamingos ever arrived, but a few people still put them out just in case. Be alert—because the pranksters of Richland never sleep (and neither do our local va...
